Racist text from would-be landlord

Reremai Cameron is a student at Waikato University's Tauranga campus who was completely shocked at a text exchange with a prospective landlord, based on her name. This person basically said if you're Maori, don't think you can have multitudes of friends and family bunking down. Not only does it reek of racism, it raises issues on what a landlord can and can't interfere with in a tennant's home.
