The last time Dr Don Brash made an official appearance at Waitangi on Waitangi Day was in 2004 when he was the leader of the National Party. His infamous Orewa speech was fresh in the minds of those there and protestors let them know what they thought of that via some mud in the face. This year Dr Brash has been invited to speak and says he'll also be listening. A male victim of domestic violence says there's a need for refuges for men just like there are Women's Refuges. A cafe has been forced to change it's name after an intellectual property dispute with a US company. There are calls for the city's St Clair beach to be pedestrianised. And Otago Police are urging caution on the roads as they expect an influx of Chinese visitors for the start of Chinese New Year.
