KiwiBuy to fill a housing gap

The government is looking at filling the gap between KiwiBuild and renting. It's "KiwiBuy". The upshot is the government buys houses in partnership with low income earners.Buying under a shared ownership scheme usually involves the buyer paying rent as well, lower than market rate.The body putting up the money continues to own the proportion of the property not covered by the mortgage and the borrower's deposit.
