Short term rental gains means tenants' pain

The picturesque surfing village of Raglan attracts lots of tourists who rent lots of baches and Airbnbs. Trouble is locals struggle to find a home to rent despite a third of residential properties sitting empty. Fiona McNabb of the Whāingaroa Raglan Affordable Housing Project says locals are often booted out of their rental homes in time for the Christmas rush and the big bucks from holiday makers.
