We are about to legalise cannabis but there must have been reasons to make it illegal. What were they?
My daughter failed to keep her unused car registered. When she tried to get a warrant for it she was told that normally she would have got one but because it wasn't registered - and it turns out it had been illegally modified - they will have to take the car apart and it will cost her thousands to get a warrant.
Why does the same process not apply for imported vehicles before they get a warrant of fitness?
One of the causes for tsunamis is said to be submarine landslides. My question is about the physical process behind this idea, because if the mass of material released just shifts from one location to another, surely it should'nt be able to create a displacement of water sufficient to create a tsunami?
