The Panel with Leonie Freeman and Guy Williams (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 25 September 2018

A big question for the Panelists - "Is the Government imperiling NZ's prosperity by standing on its principles?" Leonie Freeman and Guy Williams decide if it's worth getting off-side with the Trump administration by not getting on-board with its "war on drugs". And if ending oil and gas exploration is a wise ethical decision if it means losing out on what MBIE forecasts as $8bn in tax revenue for the country. NZIER principal economist Peter Wilson weighs-in with the economic perspective too. The Prime Minister continues to deliver aspirational messages in New York. Back home though Jacinda Ardern is having to dedicate some energy deflecting an escalation of interest in what she did and didn't know about the aborted appointment of a Chief Technology Officer.
