The Panel with Julia Whaipooti and Peter Elliott (Part 2)

From The Panel, 4:05 pm on 11 September 2018

Researchers at University College London have found that blood taken from younger animals improves the later-life health of older creatures. It can reduce the chances of developing age-related disorders. The research is part of a wave of studies and trials funded by PayPal co-founder and New Zealand citizen Peter Thiel at a San Francisco start-up called Ambrosia. What the Panelists Julia Whaipooti and Peter Elliott want to talk about. Sir Geoffrey Palmer QC wants ACC to cover sickness and disability not just injury caused by accidents. ACC lawyer Chris Patterson says even in its current form ACC isn't sustainable and it would be hugely costly and require doubling the Crown entity's workforce. Former New Zealand tennis great Chris Lewis talks about the art of grunting and if it actually does anything to help tennis players game. He also gives his perspective of the Serena Williams US Open meltdown and her allegations of being the victim of a sexist umpire.
