Sea-side Southland town looking to go cat-free

Environment Southland wants to introduce a bevvy of new rules for cat-owners, including compulsory micro-chipping, de-sexing, and not allowing any new cats in the area. It's meant to help achieve Predator Free 2050 - but Dr Jamie Steer isn't sure it's a sensible, or feasible, goal.
