The Panel with Mihi Forbes and Joe Bennett (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 26 July 2018

A second meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin has been post-poned until next year. Mr Trump has also mended trade ties with the EU, we ask the panelists if this means he is coming back into line with traditional American stances. Meanwhile CNN has released audio of Trump and his lawyer Michael Cohen from 2016 discussing a payment to a Playboy model. Should Trump be worried? The annual survey into superannuation shows the amount of money retirees need ot have a basic lifestyle is growing and the gap between NZ Super and the cost of living is rising. This means retirees are relying more on savings and extra work. But experts say this is not necessarily a cause for concern. We talk to Retirement Comissioner Diane Maxwell about what it means. A British woman has to remain married to her husband despite wanting a divorce, because he refuses to agree to the split. The Supreme Court unanimously ruled against the woman as British law states divorce can't on the grounds of unhappiness. She now must wait until they've been living separatley for 5 years. The panelists weigh in on whether this seems fair.
