The Panel with Verity Johnson and Michelle Boag (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 8 March 2018

Mayors and deputies around the country are meeting with Tourism minister Kelvin Davis in Wellington today over continuing issues of freedom campers. They're trying to come to a solution to the problem before next summer, after months of anger from locals about the messy behaviour of tourists. We talk to Tasman District Mayor Richard Kempthorne about his plan for councils to be able to issue instant fines. It's International Women's Day so the panelists will discuss where New Zeland is at for gender equality and empowerment. We seem to be doing better in politics, with new National leader Simon Bridges vowing to stack his front bench with women. In business though we seem to be slacking - a new report finding the proportion of women in leadership positions has hit an all time low. We bring in Miranda Burdon of Global Women to ask if this study is correct and what she's seeing in her work.
