The state services commissioner wants to crack down on Crown entity boards hiking the salaries of their bosses. Peter Hughes released the annual report in top level pay across the public sector, naming and shaming those boards that paid the CEOs above recommended levels. Dr Geoff Plimmer, director of Victoria University's School of Management, tells us why boards continue to give such high pay rises.
