A civil defence emergency in Hastings has been declared becuase of a large blaze near the Tuki Tuki river which has already destroyed one house. ABC News reporter, Danuta Kozaki, joins the panel to talk about the impact the severe heatwave is having across the country. We speak to forensic psychologist, Katarina Fritzon about the young people who light fires and what's going on with them. The ANZ Bank says there's a shortfall of 60 thousand houses in New Zealand. The Prime Minister says that a verbal racial attack by a woman in Huntly is more about her life being a shambles than there being a big problem of Islamaphobia in New Zealand.
