Auckland Council is reluctant to open vaults of ashes in the Waikumete cemetery, 1795 different containers of ashes dating back to the 1920s. These ashes were unclaimed, and stayed unclaimed, until the age of the Facebook brought five families together on the Honour The 1800 Facebook page.
