The Panel with John Bishop and Cas Carter (Part 2)

From The Panel, 4:31 pm on 18 December 2014

Topics - do we laugh or shake our heads at this story...a police officer described a motorist as "Irish" after the man tying his kayak sideways instead of lengthwise along his car roof. Police said it caused a potentially dangerous situation, the man was given a warning, ordered to remove the kayak and told to head back into town to get suitable transport arranged for the kayak before continuing his journey. Auckland City bowed out of the FIFA Club World Semifinals today, losing 2-1 to the champion San Lorenzo side from Argentina. But in reaching the semi finals, and in pushing the South Americans to extra time, they far, far exceeded expectations. Two examples in Auckland today of pedestrians being struck by cars. A six year old girl was hit when using a pedestrian crossing on West Auckland's Titirangi Road this morning. Police say early indications are that the girl was crossing on a green man signal, on her way to a dairy. We should note the driver apparently stopped immediately to help. The girl is said to be in a serious condition in hospital.
