Waikato University engineering student Nicc Moeono Alaiasa wants to help Samoa meet its goal of taking all of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2025, by creating a system that alternately draws on hydro and solar energy. He is also the founder of Waikato University's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Pasifika and Maori club.
