Armando Castellanos has spent years studying the Andean bespectacled bear and the mountain tapir in Ecuador. He set up the Andean Bear Conservation Project to help pay for his research and he also hopes tourists will want to come and pay to see his satellite collared bears and tapirs in the wild.

Lynn Freeman joined Armando for a few days to go in search of bears – unsuccessfully. They were in luck though with Jorgito, a mountain tapir.
