Medicinal cannabis petition to Parliament - Part 2

From the collecton The House On Demand

The mother of a teenager who was given special approval to use medicinal cannabis is petitioning Parliament to change the law and allow access to quality, affordable cannabis in New Zealand for medical use.

Rose Renton's son Alex Renton was granted permission by the Associate Minister of Health Peter Dunne to use medicinal cannabis in 2015.

Approval has since been delegated to the Ministry of Health and Rose Renton is petitioning Parliament to allow safe, affordable cannabis for medicinal use to be prescribed without special approval.

The Ministry of Health's Stewart Jessamine presented evidence to the Health Committee on the ministry's behalf.
