Given how stale it can be to hear the same old journalists asking questions of our parliamentarians, it’s refreshing when young ones are behind the mic.
Each year, the MP for Te Atatū, Phil Twyford, who is also who is the Associate Minister of both Environment and Immigration, and the Minister for Disarmament, invites high school students from his electorate to spend a week interning in his office.
This week it was the turn of Regan MacOnaghie of ACG Sunderland School, who interviewed Twyford about his job and began by asking about the decision making process behind his job as a minister.
