A general tit-for-tat at Parliament

Every parliamentary Wednesday is a General Debate which is an hour for MPs to talk about any topic they like.

It normally starts at 3pm after question time and alternates between a Government Party MP and an Opposition Party MP.

Sometimes a party will take a coordinated approach and theme their speeches and sometimes MPs talk about their own portfolios.

This week's debate turned into a bit of a tit-for-tat with both sides pointing at the other.
