Busy week in the House

From The House , 6:55 pm on 9 April 2019

Gun law reform will hog the headlines this week. Apart from anything else it will get three readings in just two days, and so take up quite a bit of the House's time.

But it is far from the only thing going on.

There's also winter energy payments, wheel clamping, loan rules, research tax credits, and ACC. And more besides.

And beyond the bills under debate there's also that unusual occasion when the House gets to give instructions to the Government about funding the House's own employees - the Officers of Parliament, whom you may know as the Auditor General, the Ombudsman and the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment.
