The definition of Manuka honey, health issues for bees and international branding are all open for discussion at the request of the Primary Production Committee.
The Committee has launched an inquiry into honey and is calling for the people to share their opinions.
National MP and chair of the committee David Bennett says the committee is expecting to hear plenty of responses on the definition of manuka but it also wants to hear about branding, security and workforce issues, and indigenous issues like the strength of Maori honey producers.
