Budget 2017: spending under scrutiny

A minister, a chairman, and an MP all walk into a select committee but it's no laughing matter. 

The budget for 2017 was announced in May and now ministers have to front up to a select committee of Government and opposition MPs to justify how the money is used. 

Minister for Education Nikki Kaye, Health Committee chair and National MP Simon O'Connor, and Health Committee member and Green MP Julie-Anne Genter explain what the process involves.
