Helping the dying, the deaf, and the abused

From The House , 7:50 am on 12 March 2017

Watching the All Blacks live, holding down a job, and dying peacefully are seemingly simple demands.

But a lack of captioning for broadcast media means the deaf and hearing impaired are often left out of the loop

The choice to die with medical assistance is not legal but submitters for and against the practice have been heard by Parliament and a bill which would give victims of abuse paid leave from work has made it through to select committee stage.*
