The Labour party says a new partnership forged by Iwi and Local Government is an important step for Maori aspirations to get involved in local development; The representative body for Maori union members is calling on te iwi Maori to support striking meat workers; The Government says it's optimistic that a Treaty settlement agreement can be reached with Ngapuhi by the end of next year; A Maori health professional who won a postgraduate scholarship to further his studies at Harvard University aims to provide more employment opportunities for Maori to work in the health system.
