The largest group of ancestral remains ever to be returned to Aotearoa will be welcomed to Te Papa this morning. The Maori Council says the leadership of the Maori Wardens is "in limbo", as it waits for the Waitangi Tribunal to make a call on who should govern and provide financial backing for the volunteers. The Maori Language Commission is offering TranzMetro pronunciation advice because it's concerned some Maori names aren't being said properly in its announcements. An organisation working to prevent sudden infant deaths says the use of wahakura or flax sleeping pods could save lives and needs to be more widely available.
