The Crown is rejecting allegations it witheld highly relevant and crucial information about the Rena from the Waitangi Tribunal. A kuia from Parihaka, which was invaded by colonial troops in 1881, wants more of its descendants to tell the story of the settlement's past. Public consultation is to begin on plans to stop wastewater being sprayed on Whakarewarewa Forest in the Bay of Plenty.
