A hapu in the Far North in the Bay of Islands is considering taking legal action against the Northland Regional Council and independent commissioners granting consent to allow a multimillion dollar extension of the Opua marina to go ahead; The Maori Party MP, Marama Fox, says she decided not to make an allegiance to the Treaty of Waitangi in her swearing in because she says it would just be a stunt; An upcoming national hui focussed on the revitalisation of Te Reo Maori is likely to raise issues, which could be hard for some people to hear.
