The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal hopes its report on the misconduct of former Principal of Pamapuria School, Stephen Hovell, will bring closure to the predominately Maori community; A group of ex-board members and parents at a Northland school are ignoring warnings from the government and going ahead with illegal elections to create a new Board of Trustees; Maori leaders and academics have gathered at the Pae Roa Hui to discuss the challenges Maori face in a post-Treaty settlement era; The Maori Party has launched its Economic Development policy, which aims to increase efforts in upskilling Maori in work, education outcomes and business.
