A Ngapuhi kaumatua has lodged a claim for up to 2.3 billion dollars for government delays in settling the land claims of Tai Tokerau hapu; The Labour leader David Cunliffe says the unemployment rate for Maori in Te Tai Tokerau has soared to 18% - and up to a third of young Maori are now out of work; Auckland's largest hapu is starting its marine restoration project to help restore the mauri to the former tribal base of Okahu Bay; The Electoral Commission says so far just under 30-thousand New Zealanders living in Australia have enrolled to vote in the general elections next month.
