A Maori recruitment website says treaty settlements and the Christchurch rebuild are driving factors behind a slight increase in Māori employment; The government's announced it's stepping up measures to protect the threatened longfin eel or tuna, which is a taonga to Māori; A researcher says the Kapa Haka nationals to be held in Christchurch next year will be a great opportunity for non-Māori to understand and interact with the culture; 2014's New Zealander of the year, Dr Lance O'Sullivan, will be gracing Māori Party billboards across the country.
