Following platinum success as one third of pop-opera trio Sol3 Mio, Samoan-Kiwi tenor Amitai Pati kicked off his solo opera career in 2022.
Pati made his principal debut as Ferrando in Così fan tutte; since then, he’s appeared at Opéra National de Paris, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
He joins Jim to discuss My Name is Pati (dir. Rebecca Tansley), a new documentary mapping the rise of Pati and his brother, Pene, in the opera world.
