Taiwan appears to be at risk of being caught up in the power struggle between China and the United States. China's leader, President Xi Jinping has been clear in his ambitions to "reunify" the island with the mainland, while President Trump continues to make high profile moves to bring the US closer to Taiwan. Richard McGregor is a senior fellow at the Lowy Institute in Sydney and the author of Xi Jinping: The Backlash. He joins the show to discuss the Taiwan issue and the criticism President Xi is receiving in his own country for his 'wolf warrior' tactics.
