Hurricane Patricia

From Sunday Morning, 7:56 am on 25 October 2015

The President of Mexico, Enrique Peñya Nieto is warning that the worst may be yet to come, as the country braces itself for floods and mudslides in the wake of Hurricane Patricia. Up to 50,000 people were evacuated from homes and tourist resorts before the Category 5 hurricane battered the West coast with torrential rains and winds of 265 kilometres per hour. It was the strongest storm ever recorded in the Americas. But amazingly, no major damage or loss of life has so far been reported. Simon Marks from Featurestory in the US has been following the storm's progress.
