The deal is done: US/China tit for tat reaches a truce

Part one of a deal aimed at de-escalating the tit for tat tariff war between China and the US has been signed in Washington.

The countries have been locked in a bitter trade battle for about 18 months and has seen them both impose tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars worth of one another's goods.

But with the deal done, the devil is always in the detail.
