Politicians enter election year after turbulent 2019

As we enter election year, it's still unpredictable as to whether National or Labour will take a lead onto the campaign trail, after a turbulant year in 2019 politics.

From the extreme tragedies of March 15th and Whakaari/White Island to the passing of the End of Life Choice bill and Wellbeing Budget, not to mention, one of the biggest marches seen at Parliament in the name of climate action.

When the House resumes everyone's minds will be turning to the election - the date which will be set by the Prime Minister fairly promptly on her return - and the inevitable campaign chaos will begin.

Logan Church spoke to Jo Moir about what to expect in 2020.
