Rachel Martin is a school teacher in Northland who would love to ignite conversations around how important getting outdoors is for children.
She's currently embarking on a lengthy hike from the Kaweka Ranges on the East Coast to Mount Taranaki on the West Coast... she set off on the 29th December.
She had a small amount of funding from the Federated Mountain Clubs and will be writing some articles for them and the NZ Wilderness Magazine about her journey.
