LATE NIGHT PHIL: It was Tom Petty's birthday on October the 20th - he would have been 73. Thomas Earl Petty was born in Gainesville, Florida and formed his first band - The Epics - in the early 70's. The Heartbreakers appeared in 1976 and struck gold with their first album. In Late Night Phil, we'll be playing highlights from 30 years of live gigs in what Petty used to refer to as "Tom Petty's Greatest Hits, played a little faster".
