A kiwi Late Night Phil: Fleetwood Mac’s newest guitarist Neil Finn turns 60 on Sunday. He was born in Te Awamutu, and became known in the late 1970s as a member of Split Enz. He wrote "One Step Ahead", "History Never Repeats", "I Got You" and "Message to My Girl", among others. Split Enz broke up in 1984, and when his big brother Tim left for England in 1985, Neil put together Crowded House with Split Enz's last drummer Paul Hester. The group’s biggest international success was in 1987 when they released the single "Don't Dream It's Over", written by Neil.
We go back a few years in tonight’s Late Night Phil when we feature Split Enz live in concert.
