Every two years we create a new opening theme for Our Changing World, using sounds that have appeared in stories during the previous two years. This year’s theme comprises 17 different sounds, the first of which is an orchestra tuning up. The orchestra is the New Zealand Symphony orchestra, and was part of a story about the maths of codes and ciphers, featuring mathematician and musician Dillon Mayhew.
