Tim Bardrick says, after some 40 years of driving himself around, his loss of independence was frustrating and caused complications for work and family life. But as his health has improved, he has undergone a driving test under the watchful eye of Barbara Steptoe, an occupational therapist who specialises in assessments for people with disabilities or who have experienced a health event.
