One In Five for Sunday 2 September 2012
By the end of the year it’s hoped the rich history of New Zealand Sign Language will have been unravelled, catalogued and posted on-line for everyone to see.
SignDNA has just been launched to archive New Zealand’s Sign Language history before home movies and video footage capturing the evolution of the language deteriorate and those moments are lost.
One in Five this week hears about the project and what it hopes to uncover.
