Hazardous Rubbish

Councils around the country are battling recidivist rubbish offenders – households offloading dangerous, contaminated goods, or those who dump trash in parks and on roadsides. Rubbish collectors face a range of hazards, including used syringes, broken glass, maggot infested food and in one case in Wellington recently an animal trap – actually set.
