Brother of an Al Jazeera journalist jailed in Egypt speaks out

From Nine To Noon, 9:07 am on 26 June 2014

Mohamed Fahmy, the Al Jazeera English bureau chief in Cairo, was this week one of three AJE journalists sentenced to prison terms in Egypt on the charge of "spreading false news". The Egyptian government accused Fahmy, and his colleagues Peter Greste and Baher Mohamed of supporting the ousted Muslim Brotherhood. The trio had denied the charges and are expected to appeal against the verdict and seven year prison sentences they each received. International outrage is growing about the case, and the shock guilty verdict. Sherif Fahmy is Mohamed Fahmy's brother, and he talks about his family's response to the sentence, and what he thinks can be done to free the men.
