Comedian Tim FitzHigham recreates history's wildest bets

From Nine To Noon, 9:40 am on 4 April 2014

Multi award-winning British comedian, author, and self-described 'shenaniganist' Tim FitzHigham is bringing a show to the New Zealand International Comedy Festival called The Gambler about his recreations of history's ten most harebrained bets. His comedy career so far has led to Tim claiming three world records: the longest distance traveled in paper boat, blowing up the world's largest balloon (only passing out a couple of times), and the only crossing of the English Channel in a bath tub (completing the last 120 miles on a broken shoulder). He also has a European record for the longest washing line to be erected, has had a toilet named after him, and was once described by fellow comedian Eddie Izzard as being, "unhinged... Completely without hinges".
