Lara Strongman is a writer and art historian based in Christchurch. She is formerly senior curator and deputy director at City Gallery Wellington, and has nearly finished a PhD about the relationship between popular culture and contemporary New Zealand art. She reviews westerns 'Justified' and 'Wild Boys'.
