NZ's bid to host the Square Kilometre Array telescopes

With Professor Sergei Gulyaev - head of AUT's Institute for Radio Astronomy and Space Research, who is leading the bid by New Zealand and Australia to host the SKA project. A joint Australian-New Zealand consortium is bidding for the right to host the Square Kilometre Array, a $3.1 billion cluster of radio telescopes that's been dubbed "the biggest science project in the world" - it's equivalent in scale to the Large Hadron Collider in Europe.
