Earthquake strengthening of school buildings

Sally Haughton is the Principal of Wellington East Girls' College, which has two buildings that need to be strengthened and is one of several schools that are concerned about the safety of buildings that have been identified as earthquake prone but which the Ministry of Education has told them are safe. David Hopkins is a consulting engineer who specialises in earthquake risk management, and a former president of the NZ Society for Earthquake Engineering.
