The Pike River mine recovery operation

Seamus Devlin is the NSW Mines Rescue state manager, who has been one of the key decision makers at the Pike River mine over the last week. A specialised unit developed after a mining disaster in Australia is now on its way to Greymouth where staff will use it to try to neutralise the mine's atmosphere to recover the miners' bodies.
