GP-turned-crime writer Fiona Sussman on her new page-turner

From Nine To Noon, 11:30 am on 16 November 2022

What would you do, if you arrived home to find your wife naked - but for an apron - bleaching a stain from the carpet that only she can see?

It's the set-up for Fiona Sussman's latest page-turning novel - in which two couples who have known each other for years have their lives turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis - and then by a mysterious death.

Fiona is an Auckland-based writer who's written short stories and novels - including Addressed to Greta and The Last Time We Spoke, which won the Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Crime Novel in 2017.

Fiona trained in medicine and was a GP for years - experience she's taken and used for the book, called The Doctor's Wife.
