Importers are warning of "acute" supply chain issues to New Zealand caused by Covid lockdowns in China. Shanghai is starting to ease its lockdown of the city's 25 million people, with factories slowly returning to production. But disruption at Shanghai port - the world's largest - has caused a backlog of over 500 ships waiting to dock, which is unlikely to be resolved quickly. Importers say shipping lines are cutting out ports and canceling some air freight services here.
